Colorful Scars : Free Intentional Creativity Class

We have long worn our scars
on the inside, hidden within ourselves

Doing our best to hide, to not allow
them show up on the outside

We didn’t want to be exposed,
judged, blamed and not believed

Our souls bear the marks
of re-membering what was lost

We have been shaped, girdled, silenced,
fragmented and shamed into looking good

It may be hard to speak out in a culture
where it is popular to believe you caused your own harm

If you have carried the thought that you,
Dear precious soul, have caused your own harm…

This is an invitation to lay it down for good
and to release your grip on self blame

Self blame cloaked as responsibility
has done more damage then we can imagine

Do you see how believing that you called it upon yourself,
can keep you from speaking?

The dominant culture keeps this idea in place
we know better, and can release ourselves

We have already turned our wounds
into teachings for ourselves and others

Are you ready to let go of this part
of the wounding you carry? Is it time?

When scars are only on the inside
they can take a long time to heal

We can choose to integrate, be witnessed,
be informed and take action

The colorful side of all of these stories
is that the scars are no longer only on the inside

Witness by compassionate hearts
brings color to the shadows which house the wounds

The light emitting from our colorful scars
illuminates the path for those coming after us

A warrior mark, a reminder, a tattoo
of teachings and stories to tell

We won’t forget, yet neither will we
be jailed by the past any longer

To those who would harm, we pray this colorful light
Reaches them too, so they may think again and heal

The freedom to self express is a basic
human right, and we claim this right for ourselves

We won’t proclaim the bright side
We will not dwell in the shadow side either

We see, claim and are authors of the colorful side
We have become She of the Colorful Scar

Signed with a hope for
re-membering our wholeness,

Shiloh Sophia, October 2018

FREE COMMUNITY CLASS & RED THREAD CIRCLE ONLINE

SHARE & COMMENT ON ARTIST SHILOH SOPHIA FB PAGE

You are invited to join the Intentional Creativity Community for a free online class and Red Thread Circle on October 21. Can’t join us that day? The videos are yours to keep and download so you can do it in your own time. We will have a completing call in November so you have time to do the process. You will be supported by Intentional Creativity Guild members.

Let’s gather together in solidarity across the world to cause our own healing to move to the next level…bringing healing into our own hands…

How much power do we really have to set ourselves free?

More than we think, I feel. Yet there is often a process if the feeling is to really create a change. It is more than just thinking about it. You have do actually do something more than in the mind. Ritual, creativity, movement, a circle….something to mark the change.

Dear Ones,

I have been thinking of you, and of all of us – and especially right now my sisters in the US who have been so impacted by the recent happenings. I don’t think I need to spell it out – regardless of what you think about it – it was traumatizing for most of us it seems. I could feel it and see it in ways I haven’t for a while. Like wow – where do we live? I looked at the images of the people involved ands sent them love – all of them. All of them. And I felt I had to DO SOMETHING to serve – hence Colorful Scars – a class for us as a community. I asked what I could do? I had already painted the painting above – and so it was clear – colorful scars it would be. Claiming our wounds and bringing beauty to them. Covering them in grace – not hiding – but lifting up.

I try to be mindful of sharing spiritual beliefs without assumptive behaviours which are so often rampant. Even just – ‘everything happens for a reason’ is a rampant spiritual belief gone unchecked that a lot of us don’t agree with. Including me. So in this cycle I am writing to you with permission to set yourself free from the way you have been carrying what has happened to you.

I share this writing and class for those who still think they are to blame for their abuse. This is FOR YOU. For us to heal.

With respect to those in the sisterhood that truly believe they agreed to their own harm at the level of soul, I hear you. And. What is true for you might be true for you. Yet I might add, do not assume it is also true for everyone else. This teaching is too common and in my view, assumptive and often unconscious.

Now, having worked with so many women I am a stand for freedom from self blame – and the idea that we caused our own harm as part of our path or soul agreement. Not that there aren’t times we have put ourselves in danger and harm’s way. Each story has it’s own arc of blame and shame.

I stand for a story where no woman blames herself for being harmed in ANY scenario.

I woke up this morning with the collective grief pouring through me. I thought, is there a bright side? And of course, the bright side is that the stories are being told and that hopefully those who do the harming will think again instead of become even more aggressive, which is often the case. Yet, bright side, felt too optimistic. Shadow side is obviously playing itself out before our eyes in the US and many other places. But the colorful side, is also here. Finding our freedom from suppression and silence – finding self expression. Why is this important – because if we are self expressed, we won’t bottle up the energy and turn it on ourselves.

Expressing it lets it out – and in that, changes it as it moves from within to the page/canvas/dance floor. We will talk more about this in the Colorful Scarsclass. Consider calling women together to gather with in person for this event in your home, studios or office. Consider hosting a red thread circle. The videos will be yours to keep and download but it woudl be wonderful to spend the day together on October 21 doing the work.

Thinking of you and however you process what you are feeling. Let us walk this road together in the best way we can. I am about to lead a Red Thread Circle in the morning mist and will be thinking of you and including you with us.

A Virtual Art Opening for You!

I am an artist. Everything I see, do, create, think and love is connected with beauty and transformation through creativity. The Alchemist’s Brush will be my first one woman show since 2010. My first show since my teacher, Sue Hoya Sellars walked on into the cosmos. My first show focusing on and featuring my teaching paintings. My first show since being with my husband, Jonathan who I met in late early 2012. My first show to include this many paintings!

You are invited to join us in person on Friday June 1 for my Art Opening in Sonoma, or by special request you can join us for the Virtual Art Opening behind the scenes look before everyone arrives.

Virtual Art Opening – Join Us!

We are here getting ready for the show this weekend. There are helpers everywhere busy with paintbrushes and hammer and nails. I am saying to myself:

Let yourself arrive. This is what success looks like. It doesn’t look like what you thought. It is way better than you could have imagined. Claim this. Share this.

When the economy started changing in 2007 I could feel it and see it before it landed. Times were changing. I had owned my own gallery since the age of 28 (that’s twenty years ago now), so I could sense the threads of our world stretching. Paintings for many years before that flew off the wall and I felt so blessed to be a working artist.

Paintings flew….My Co-Curator Mary MacDonald and I would put a painting up, light a candle, say a prayer and wait and sure enough – here came the person who that painting belonged to. It was magical and good work and connections were made. But there was something else. There was a need. Now I had felt this need for many years…more on that to come…

Girls on film begins….Then in 2008 with our move to Healdsburg from Mendocino we started my video career (insert Girls on Film song as background for reading). I had never imagined being on film. I had made other movies before but nothing like this. Mary suggested we just turn on the camera and see what happens. And so we did. And the rest is history. Our first class, LEGEND was a total success and these many years later we are still running it with hundreds of graduates a year. And LEGEND is a pre-requisite for our Teacher Training, which I launched in 2010 to really bring this work to life in the hands of many. I could only reach so many…but they can reach thousands who really need this work.

Complicated beginnings….Thousands of hours of videos later and we are still at it. Something else was happening much more important than a star being born 🙂 There was a need, a request, for women to connect with their own stories and image. To heal. To grow. To transform. I had what would meet that need, and I knew it. They actually told me themselves! There was a need beyond having a healing image that celebrated women – they had to remake their image for themselves. The re-imagining came right in my front door, sat down, had a cup of tea and wouldn’t leave until I said yes, I will show you. But it was more complicated than that.

You see, I was married for 16 years to an amazing person, but for his own reasons, the full extent to which I will never know – he didn’t appear to want me to share my gifts of Intentional Creativity as a teaching. At first it was protective energy. And further, it was integral to our actual income! What might happen if I showed everyone my magic sauce of how to make a painting, even if you don’t know how to paint. Would our collectors become students? How to bring intentional heart and soul into your creation to alchemize the very particles into medicine. Later, he said he protected me until I was strong enough on my own. I feel that and trust that. And there came a time when I couldn’t contain it anymore for myself. I am so grateful for his careful stewarding and many many years of support. I could not have gotten to the place I was without his support and belief in my work.

The sales slowed way down….it was like a whole new career and need to create income. They did and I did stop showing/selling. My focus was elsewhere mostly. But after creating a million dollars in art sales by the age of 40 it was kind of a big deal to share it in this way. It was scary sharing everything I knew and the way I made a living. I was taught by my mama Caron McCloud and Sue Hoya Sellars and I felt I was holding so many gifts – and they didn’t feel like they belonged to me, but to everyone else. This wasn’t a feeling I made up – it came through me.I felt I was a messenger. In a vision with the Mother Mary, I was actually told I would give it all away. She didn’t mean for free, but give away all the teaching She gave me. At the time, I didn’t now what ‘it’ was. But soon enough I would know it was Intentional Creativity. We have had 229,000 viewers over 5 years for our classes! Thanks to Jonathan’s support we were able to bring the media to the world starting in 2013, 5 years ago. That is why you can join us on Friday: https://portal.shilohsophia.com/art-opening-stream/

I wasn’t proud enough to share them…until now. The reason for this story today is that I haven’t shown this work because they were teaching paintings. They didn’t feel like my own in a way because they were shaped to meet the need of the class or the student. It has my heart and soul in it as an offering – but not my ‘style and content’ in the way I would have done it if I was painting for myself. Over the past ten years there are a rare few I have done without it being in a class. At times my students have heard me whine about it – about not painting for myself. But honestly – this has been SO MUCH MORE INCREDIBLE than just selling paintings to individuals. Now thousands and thousands of incredible healing and gorgeous paintings are released in the world. Homes, offices, hospitals, studios are all holding the beauty of the feminine that never would have existed if I had kept my gifts for myself and a few select clients.

So in a way I wasn’t as proud of the paintings as actual PAINTINGS of my own. But now with about 100 of them here I guess it makes up a body of work worth sharing lol. MY mom, Caron believes they have such a special energy and presence because each one was an offering – some of which were the guide for over 1000 women to paint! I also believe they have magic in them. And I would love for my community to have them instead of store the body of work until I am long gone. Makes a nice story, but you having them makes a much better reality. At this point I tell all the Intentional Creativity Teachers (over 200 of them) that they need to reclaim their paintings for themselves RIGHT after the class! Don’t wait ten years!

The hand numbered 33….We have a special set of 33 that are all 13 step based, which is a teaching we offer in Intentional Creativity and all are hand numbered and coded with a gold circle with a red thread circle around it to connect them. And there are many more from other classes. I have donated them to the Intentional Creativity Foundation which will receive 30-50% of each sale to help fund our first program, Red Thread Connect, which provides 2 free calls monthly for women to connect, and hopefully will finance our Red Thread Connect App. After the show this weekend and our Cosmic Cowgirls 13 year gathering, we will make what remains available at www.shilohsophiagallery.com and let you know so you can come take a look. Many of the paintings were left as they were after the class, and others, I have brought to full completion.

I wonder what my life would have been like if… At times I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t gone this route of teaching. How my paintings would have evolved and how I would have evolved as a painter and writer. I know that my painting style and skill haven’t evolved like they would have and yes, sometimes that makes me sad. As in most of the classes I am teaching basics that others can work with to find their own image. As at my truest heart, painting and writing are what I love the most. Who knows what the future holds. I am a little painted out at this point ha! When I paint I am in bliss, teaching or otherwise.

If there is a teaching in this Red Thread Letter it is this. Follow the thread of love where it leads you.

I was lead here by loving others, who crossed my path and called me forward. I am here to say this has been better than I could have imagined. I am in a community of thousands who are truly connected through creativity and love.

Let’s celebrate! Join us here.

And so here we are, and while we are here, let’s celebrate! Turns out there was a big need for this work and with my community the Cosmic Cowgirls and Mary and Jenafer Owen – we brought out our gifts to share.

Join us Friday in Sonoma (doors open at 2pm) or watch later – for a preview of my show. If you are local, come on by to 75 Fremont Drive. Cake is at 5. Because a gathering without a cake is just a meeting. Followed by dancing.

with a splash of paint,

Highlights from Apothecary :: Medicine Painting in Hawkesbury, Australia

A great time was had by all at the global launch of ‘Apothecary medicine painting’ hosted in the Hawkesbury by Energy Medicine Institute, a place where ancient wisdom meets modern day science. Apothecary is a step by step process of using art to heal and transform tragedies into remedies, for both individuals and communities.

The moment you arrived at Apothecary you were met with drumming, by Hands Heart & Feet from the Blue Mountains, introducing sound as medicine. Raw food creator Vicki Cook, walked us through the four directions of the medicine wheel exploring raw food as medicine. Elise Heyward from Timeless Tea walked us through the five elements of the medicine wheel exploring tea, as medicine. We had Giving Back as Medicine. Tribal News, EMIs not for profit-Cambodian Project, Nary Style: a gift from the heart of Cambodia, selling 200 silk scarves with each scarf educating a child for 1 month.

WomanSong sang us into the room, and to our seats, where the fabulous Chris Paine, MC for this event, lead the official proceedings. Chris was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her devotion to serving local government and the Hawkesbury community earlier this year. We had the honour of Stacey Jane Etal delivering the welcome to country. Susan Templeman MP then officially opened the global launch of Apothecary, a new healing modality.

Apothecary creators Shiloh Sophia and Jonathan McCloud came all the way from Sonoma, California for the event. Shiloh is one of the top 10 selling artists in the US, her online business supports 25,000 women globally each month. Her husband Jonathan is an integral part of creating Apothecary. His passion is changing the D in PTSD to discomfort. We had the pleasure of having Michelle from the Australian Resource Centre 4 PTSD (ARC4PTSD), who said “Apothecary is a combination of art, vision, then sprinkle some self-belief and mindfulness, taking imagery and self-exploration to a whole new level.”

EMI Founder & CEO Lou Reed said “We had 50 of our community leaders in the room experiencing medicine painting, the feedback was overwhelming. People who had been working with other modalities for years and had little or no success were transforming their tragedies into remedies in just two days. The healing didn’t stop there, one of our beloveds worked with the intention to heal a family relationship that had been strained for years, two days after the event the person called and reached out.”

We are so grateful to Shiloh & Jonathan for not only allowing us to run the global launch of Apothecary in the Hawkesbury, but for Shiloh donating her painting to Tribal News where we raised over $10,000 for Tribal News, a not for profit resourcing women to change their community stories and Jonathan for donating his painting to ARC4PTSD to raise funds for their cause.

We are excited to work with ACR4PTSD and other organisations who are focused on healing through expressive arts. If you would like to know more about Apothecary contact us at [email protected].

PRESS RELEASE: Art Opening June 1: Ten years of paintings

Art Opening for Shiloh Sophia on June 1

Featuring ten years of Teaching Paintings

About this collection the Artist says:

“This seems like all I have ever done. When I was 23 and left the corporate world, and I entered my world of art making as a full time working artist under the mentorship of Sue Hoya Sellars. I feel like I have barely lifted my head up from the drawing board, the easel, the pen. I see everything through the eyes of the artist. Even my activism, my family and the curating of community are seen through the tip of my paintbrush. Sometimes I wonder what I might have missed. Other times I cannot believe my good fortune.

I have always felt my images were the antidote to the worst things in the world, offering medicine for the wounded stories we carry and create.

Truly, my work is lived out. My inner world reflects the world I live day to day. There is complete reconciliation. Sure there are things I still long for, but in many ways, I feel complete and this show, the Alchemists’s Brush, brings that into focus. The patterns of all of my Intentional Creativity teachings, my archetype philosophy, the painting as prayer ideas, the symbolic legendary mythos, and the idea that each of us has our own information and must learn how to find it for themselves, is here, a codex of my body of work.

As I look back over the many years of teaching I have done I find myself surrounded with paintings that I could keep for our estate long after I pass into stardust, but why? Why not have them living in the homes of my community? When I started teaching, I stopped focusing on gallery sales. Sure I have sold many paintings to those who happened to be in my gallery or studio – but I haven’t offered any work online for sale for years in any organized way. 8 years ago I had a sold out show and since then I have just been teaching. I didn’t feel motivated to sell the work because they were teaching paintings – containing so many elements of things I wouldn’t have done on my own. So in a way individually they didn’t feel complete. yet together, I see they have formed their own body of work. And I am proud of that in a different way. I would love for our community to have this body of work in their homes and businesses. Each one is hand numbered 1-33. There are also a few more that are not in the numbered edition.

Here we go. A body of work completed. Following this I don’t plan to sell my teaching paintings anymore. This is a cycle of ten years. This show represents the full circle. I still plan to paint, and sell paintings, but they won’t be like these. They will be my own. These ones belong to and in, the collective.

I am grateful my community, Mary MacDonald and my mom Caron, are coming together to gather and experience and celebrate this milestone. And to my husband Jonthan who has supported this work with absolute loving attention.

This show is dedicated to all of my students, and my teachers.

Signed with red paint and shimmer sauce,

Global Livestream preview before the show – join us here.

Greetings! We are pleased to announce the Estate and Private Collection works by world renowned Artist Shiloh Sophia offered for the first time at her studio and gallery in Sonoma, CA. The artist is selling her ten year collection! The pre-show will open on June 1 with an in-person gala beginning at 2pm – 5pm. Friends of the Artist are welcome to stay for cake cutting and music to follow.

Address: Cosmic Cowgirls 75 Fremont Drive, Sonoma 95476. No need to RSVP, just come!

Shiloh Sophia Gallery is offering access and sale of the estate collection comprised of The 33 Teaching Paintings. In an unprecedented move the artist is donating the paintings to the Intentional Creativity Foundation Inc,, a not for profit co-founded by her and her husband, Jonathan for the purpose of funding educational programs for women.

They are currently being offered at a special price point from the gallery list price. There are additional paintings not in the collection, available by request that are either recent or have a special meaning to the artist.

From Cowgirls to Madonnas, Priestesses to Painters, Angels to Matriarchs, Oracles to Medicine Women, the collection features the feminine archetypes as taught by Shiloh Sophia in her groundbreaking 13 step Intentional Creativity® Method. Each painting is hand-numbered by the artist to represent her body of work as a whole. Further, many of the paintings were painted alongside her mentor in the arts, Sue Hoya Sellars (1936-2014).

If you have ever wanted to own a Shiloh Sophia original, this is the time. Shiloh’s mom Caron McCloud says this:

“These paintings are a truly special body of work as they have served thousands of women since my daughter painted them to teach others, they are not just teaching paintings, but hold the stories of those she painted them with and for.”

Shiloh Sophia’s work following this show will be more than doubled in price bringing it to Gallery List pricing. Her long time Sales Manager, and the Curator for Alchemist’s Brush, Mary MacDonald of Toronto, Canada, has been selling her work for over 13 years and says:

“Shiloh’s work speaks to the heart of the feminine in which thousands of women continue to resonate with. Her art is a remedy for the images that women are confronted with on a daily basis that marginalize their body image and their experiences as a woman. Each piece Shiloh creates is a sacred prayer for the person who buys it and on a global perspective for the healing of the world.”

Please email Ms. MacDonald at [email protected] for a Price List (so you can see the price ranges) or to inquire and get your name in for interest. Payment plans are available.

This is the pre-show announcement but photos will not be made available yet. Priority is given to those coming in person on June 1. Once we know you are interested we will follow up with you!

Artist & Poet Shiloh Sophia: Curator & Co-Founder of Intentional Creativity

Two friends. Two IC Teachers. One Palace of the Soul. One Month in May.

This is one of those wonderful what-if situations come true! While Artist and IC Teacher Elizabeth Gibbons, the Bejeweled Baroness, is sojourning in Hawaii during the month of May, IC Teacher and Artist Kerry Lee is taking care of the Palace of the Soul in San Francisco, CA!

Both being Intentional Creativity teachers and CC and having collaborated together a couple of times at the Palace of The Soul – and being friends, it was a pretty easy YES for both of them to this arrangement. Kerry’s business is primarily mobile, her daughter is grown, and her pets have passed on, so she is free to go where her mantra of Ease, Fun and Prosperity leads her!

Here is what she has lined up for the month of May:

I currently live in a quiet Bay Area waterside (Carquinez Strait) bungalow with lots of open space where the only commute noise is the geese each morning going from their night place (wherever that is) to their day place (wherever that is). I’m not a city girl. So living in SF for a month is a perfect change of scenery and experience – I’m already inspired with the idea of staying at Elizabeth’s beautiful, larger, art-museum-like home.

I’ll be offering two Painting Parties with a Purpose. All of the paintings have intention and symbolism in the spirit of Contemporary Symbolism and Intentional Creativity. The Dragonfly, to honor a beloved who has passed on (which I will be painting in honor of Elizabeth’s Mom & CC Mary Landor) and a second Mermaid Tales with fun and light painting and mermaid lore and quotes, ie “I was a mermaid in a previous life”.

I will also be offering two half day Intentional Creativity workshops – Soulful Wisdom Cards; Transforming Limiting Beliefs into Empowering New Stories and a Kerry Lee original, The Balance Tree, a watercolor painted tree of clarity and action for the future you desire. Each part of the tree and surrounding landscape has symbolic meaning.

And on Memorial Weekend I’ll be offering Huna: Paint Your Inner-Guide Portrait, An Intentional Creativity Weekend Workshop. Over a Friday Eve, Saturday and Sunday we’ll create a symbolic portrait of our own Inner Guides. Participants can expect to find their own innate inner wisdom, truth and guidance based on the seven principals of Hawaii’s Huna philosophy.

In addition I’m a “Experience Host” with Airbnb and plan to offer private 90 minute and 3 hour Intentional Creativity coaching sessions as well as one of my unique special offerings, Personalized Color Analysis – Where art and science come together to determine your perfect personal color palette based on skin, hair and eye color. Usually I offer this is group settings but for the month of May will be offering private sessions at reduced group pricing.

And, this weekend, I’m participating in Benicia’s Open Studios this weekend with over 90 participating artists where I’ll be featuring my new Mindfulness Meditation Paintings along with other artworks, starting at $25.

None of my events require prior experience, however seasoned artists are welcome to add their own creative style.

Regional News: Bahrain

I am living as an expatriate in Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf.

In June,  I publicly announced my offerings for Intentional Creativity Workshops on the island. I have held some private sessions and workshops from my home studio as well as at a local Aikido and Yoga studio where I was asked to offer classes and Red Thread Sessions.

March was a very busy time. I was invited to share IC in a mini-workshop and have my own booth at a Wellness Day, and to present a teaser at a fashion show for a fashion academy. I had around 100 people doing the first few steps of a 13 step workshop together. They visioned, set an intention and created an opening.

Below are a few photos from the fashion event, from my booth and also from some students creating paintings in my studio.

Creating Portals of Opening

At the fashion event…

Trust the Process.

Last Week I had the opportunity to teach Cosmic Smash Booking at Shakti Rising in a small setting in San Diego. It is a recovery home serving over 800 women each year through woman-centered leadership development, community-based educational services and our holistic recovery program. Thank you Shiloh…

It was as always glorious and wonderful and fun and liberating for both them and me. It was a 5 hour round trip and I did it as service to my community.

However, what I want to tell you is what I witnessed and the power of IC that I have seen before but never quite like this. In the class were two trained social workers witnessing Cosmic Smash Booking for the first time.

One woman attended who is not part of the living-in community. She made her pretty book, we started to write our thoughts regarding grounding ourselves, which eventually we would cover and use color on followed by an image, usually hands and sometimes feet.

At the end of her writing she got very upset and starting crying and would not stop. At first I thought Oh! S**t!  There are two trained women in here what should I do?

However, as always,I hear Shiloh’s voice: trust the process. I noticed she had written only on one side of the page. I put my hand lightly on her arm, breathed in air for both of us, and asked her if she could just take that pencil she had written with and draw a line across the page…that’s it…just draw a line between the pages.

She mustered the courage and did it. I witnessed her come off the ceiling by herself and just continue to draw lines across the page. Eventually she calmed down and made a joke.

She said, “well,I guess I’m not going to able to do that unsupervised.” We all laughed.

I drove home humbled ….

Pulling Stories out of our Bones

I just finished a 9 month dive into myself – a Vision Quest really – using color, story and dance (and lots of tears, self doubt and all out tantrums).

I am proud to announce that I am now a Certified Intentional Creativity Teacher. I joyously join a long lineage of amazing women who teach and heal using creativity as our chosen method to heal the self, community, and the world.

I know there are many ways to do this good healing work, but to do it with paint and creativity is pretty mind blowing!

Intentional Creativity is a way to heal and transform ourselves and old stories using creativity. We intentionally go within and mine for gold and release that which no longer serves us. I personally have let go of some long held beliefs and stories that have held me back for years.

I believed I was broken inside, because of abuse that happened when I was a child. I have carried that with me all my life. I called it that “yucky” feeling. The one that awakened me in the middle of the night and filled me with shame and fear. The one holding me back from flying like I knew I could fly.

Using Intentional Creativity, I intentionally went inside, looked at the old fear and painted it onto the canvas in front of me. I pulled that old story and belief from my cells, my bones. I literally painted that crap out of my body. I transformed it on the canvas and made space in my body for a new story to emerge.

I changed my story!

In gratitude to a beautiful lineage of teachers.

Terre Cerridwyn Busse: I am a teacher, an artist, a mother of teenagers and a woman who fell in love with a river (ask me about the South Fork of the Yuba).

I paint, I dance, I make up stories. Sometimes I do them all at the same time and truth be told, my best work is when I am doing them all at the same time.

I paint with intention. I believe that painting with intention, we can heal and move stuck hurts and energy out of our body. I believe we can change our lives on the canvas. We can create space in our hearts and souls to attain the dreams we desire through paint, intention, story, color and symbol. Come visist me at Cerridwynstudio.com

SPECIAL RELEASE: The Legendary Women Gallery Show 2018 of Guild Members

“Shaping one’s own story is the making of revolution. A story becoming a legend means we open the door to the land of the imaginal narrative. To see things in new ways we need to invite new seeing and self expression. We don’t just rely on reason and what we know to shape the story we want to live into. Or at least we don’t any more.

Legends aren’t born. They are made. With rigor and shimmer and in our case with big paintbrushes, dance moves and poetry. Legends are hand crafted from the stories of the soul. Set free from the cages of the past. Default settings and dead old stories keep us bound. The over-culture and dominant paradigm want us to buy into their story, often invisible but palpable. We say, no thanks.

Awakened ones become a danger to what is acceptable and we become willing to be unacceptable. Once we are free from our cages of conformity we may never fit back in again. And this is a good thing.

Stepping into one’s own legend is a chosen rights of passage that gives one access to what is possible. And along the way, a good time can be found by all!

I don’t know about ya’ll but I think wild awake women is a really good idea.”

For Special Release: The Legendary Women Gallery Show 2018 of Guild Members features the work of both experienced and beginning painters based on the work they created in our signature Cosmic Cowgirl Course: LEGEND.

LEGEND has been running for over 10 consecutive years with hundreds of students. An Intentional Creativity journey designed to lead you into the heart of your personal story with an invitation to transform your life into a LEGEND. The process is focused in image and word and each artist gaining access to her internal voice.

This experience is life changing for how women view themselves, their relationships and their worldview. Plus, it is a a lot of fun, and yes, slightly dangerous to pre-existing frameworks. Most of us have an experience of our voice, as we have been speaking to ourselves from the time we were born, through needs and wants, and eventually thoughts, desires and stories. For many of us however, that voice goes off the tracks and can become an enemy, known as the critic. In the work of LEGEND we transform that paradigm and establish a new relationship with the one within. When we experience an integration with the voice that speaks within us, we can be instantly changed and connected with intuition and being in new and powerful ways.

It is with joy and excitement for the work of women artists who are members of the Intentional Creativity Guild that we present this show.

Get a cup of tea and a journal, pause and just allow yourself to sink into the stories each woman tells through her LEGENDARY SELF.

The LEGENDARY SELF is a combination of fact, fiction, stardust and poetry layered with symbol, code, icon, and hidden doors of meaning specific to each woman’s journey. Most women say they go to a place within their soul that they have never visited before – but once there will never lose access.

This show is made possible through the Intentional Creativity Foundation.
